I hate today.
Well, not really. But I'm close.
I've been trying to finalize this one project all day long and it's Not. Fucking. Cooperating. Every time I print it, either the tables it's linked to don't print, or the old (wrong) versions print, and we're talking a 26-page manual that's just getting scrapped. Granted the client is getting billed for every page of that scrap, but a) they don't like a lot of scrap and b) the (lack of) savings gets passed on to the consumer.
Of course it doesn't help that I have a very strong impression that the chick I'm working with (who's TRAINING ME) doesn't really know what she's doing... Oy. it's very frustrating.
And of course I must be careful not to let her see me typing this... she's downstairs getting the stuff I just printed right now but she will be back up any moment... so to post this and get it off the screen; may post more in a bit.
Oh by the way, all you fuckers, I practically begged for feedback on the last CYOA segment and got NONE. Fuck you all.
ETA I did get feedback from Molly. So fuck you all except Molly.

Item One: Bush insists he will fight opponents of his plan to sell the U.S. to the Arabs one business at a time. This is way bigger than a blowjob, hello. With any luck we'll be rid of this motherfucker soon. Impeach Bush in '06!
Item Two:
No, you know what? I think Item One stands on its own today.
Our nation is being sold piece by piece. This time it was to Dubai, which was a major staging ground for the 9/11/01 attack on the WTC. Who should it be to next?
In the 1980s, everyone was afraid we'd end up being sold off to the Japanese. I don't think we have to worry about that any more; the Arabs got here first.

If you had me alone, locked up in your house for twenty-four hours and I had to do whatever you wanted me to, what would you do with me? All comments will be screened because it's a secret. And, feel free to be anonymous as well. Then repost this in your LJ. You might be surprised with the responses you get.

Here. Talk about me. Go now and do so. If no one talks about me I shall cry.
So what's going on with me? I havent posted in days and haven't flisted either... sorry about that.
Got a job, working for Heating Illustrated, which is a graphics design firm specializing in doing things like the user manual for your gas water heater, stuff like that. It's pretty cool, and it means I get to play with Photoshop all day for $12/hr.
Finished my Step One, which will mean little to nothing to most of you but it was a big deal to me.
What else? Not much, honestly. Very little actual happening is happening in my life. Although I do have the following very general comment to make about RPGs:
If you can't or aren't willing to play your character any more, and it's a major canon character? Give the character up to someone who wants it. I mean, seriously. How is it fair for the rest of the game to suffer because YOU selfishly refuse to let go of 'your' character? Please. Selfishness = Asshattery.

No title yet because I have no idea what this story is going to be about. Rating: PG/FRC Pairing: B/G Setting: Season 5, AU Disclaimers: Buffy et al belong to Joss et al. Don't sue. I'm far too busy. Feedback: Begged for. Summary: Who knows? LOL. I just work here. Previous parts are available by looking in my memories. This part rather short but better than the first go-round, I think. -------------- ( Read more... ) ---------- Poll #674519

In other news, Molly my spiritual advisor has advised me to rewrite the last chapter of the CYOA due to extreme suckage, so I'll be doing that. Soon. Maybe tonight.

I only ask due to the surprisingly vast lack of suggestions on the last chapter, and the no feedback on the last few chapters. Does it suck that badly?

's random George Bush quote:

"You know, when I was one time campaigning in Chicago, a reporter said, 'Would you ever have a deficit?' I said, 'I can't imagine it, but there would be one if we had a war, or a national emergency, or a recession.' Never did I dream we'd get the trifecta."

Hmm, okay.

Item One: James Frey's literary agent fired him. Something about falsification. And embarrassment, and the head of the agency is possibly considering ritual hara-kiri coz god knows if he doesn't do it himself, the fallout from this will do it for him.
Item Two: Britney Spears is a fashion guru. In Bizarro-world.
Item Three: The more I read on this unfolding story, the more convinced I am that Brad Pitt is just an asshole.
Item Four: Somebody got Rodney Kinged in St. Louis and now there's cops in trouble. Something about that just warms my shriveled little heart.
Item Five: There's debate on the necessity of having Black History Month in this day and age. Personally, I wanna know when I'm gonna get a Mexican History month. Excuse me... Non-European-Hispanic-American History Month.
Item Six: Sometimes you have to mind other people's kids. A woman notices bizarre behavior out of a kid in a convenience store and does some checking; finds the child is a kidnap victim being held by a pedophile.
Item Seven: "There's something wrong with that dog. He acts like he's on crack or something."
Item Eight: Does anybody really care if a couple football morons talk smack?
Item Nine: Cindy Sheehan was tossed from the State of the Union address for wearing an anti-war shirt; a Congressman's wife was tossed for wearing a "support the troops" shirt. *snicker*
Item Ten: Creativity is one step away from insanity. *Looks at fic library* Yeah, I'll cop to that. -----------------------------
Interviewed today (first time ever since I've been here!) for a pretty cool sounding job. Olan Mills is looking for a traveling photographer, and I interviewed for the job. It sounds cool, and it sounds like a good paying job (potentially). However, I have an interview with the Express Personnel office in Franklin (outside of Nashville) tomorrow afternoon also. So we shall see what occurs. I think the photog. route would be more fun than an office job, but the office job would be for-sure hours and pay.
Oh, and since I haven't announced it yet - I am playing Buffy in wickedfox's wickedverse. It's VERY fun and VERY twisted. And VERY NC-17. Hee!
Can't think of anything else to write, so... *waves, signs off*
